In the continuing efforts to assure our consumers of the safety of data infrastructure used to secure Appzone’s information assets, Appzone is pleased to announce that it has been issued with the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification by the International Organization for Standardization.
The ISO/IEC 27001 is an internationally recognized process, guided by a set of normative requirements for the establishment, implementation, operation, monitoring and review of information security management systems. Ownership of the certification is shared by the International Organization for Standardization and the International Electrotechnical Commission. The goal of the certification as propagated by the merged interests of these institutions is to provide a framework of international standards that guide how a modern organization should manage its information assets.
Gaining the certification is proof of Appzone’s dedication to the improvement of information security, good governance and conformity in line with international practices. The ISO/IEC 27001 certification distinguishes Appzone as a company that isn’t just invested in securing and protecting its information assets, but also takes extra steps to assure stakeholders, consumers, and investors of the safety of its practices which are in line with international best standards.
As a company, we’re excited to receive this certification because it shows our commitment to building and managing technology infrastructure that conforms with international industry guidelines and standards, including payment card industry data security standards. It also reduces costs incurred due to data breaches, therefore increasing Appzone’s competitive advantage and creating access to increased business opportunities for the organization and its clients.
